Terms of Service
Last updated 29 October 2026
Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply when you add or use Chorus, the Discord app, or use this website or the verification page at hivechorus.duckdns.org. By using them, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Chorus. Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines also apply whenever you use Chorus.
What Chorus is
Chorus is a free, independent Discord app that shows leaderboards and player statistics for The Hive, a Minecraft: Bedrock Edition server. Its data comes from The Hive's public API. Chorus isn't made by, endorsed by or affiliated with The Hive, Mojang, Microsoft or Discord.
Who can use Chorus
You need to meet Discord's minimum age in your country. If you add Chorus to a server, you confirm you're allowed to add apps to it.
Access and changes
Chorus is offered free of charge. Some or all commands may be limited to approved users, for example while Chorus is in early access. We can change, limit, pause or discontinue any part of Chorus at any time, and we'll try to announce bigger changes in the Chorus Development server.
Acceptable use
When you use Chorus, don't:
- try to overload it, get around its cooldowns or access limits, or send it automated requests (for example from a selfbot)
- exploit bugs. Report them in the Chorus Development server instead.
- use
/privacyon an account that isn't yours, or try to find out who is anonymous - use Chorus to harass, threaten or target other players
- copy Chorus's data in bulk to build another database or service
- break the law or Discord's rules
We can block users or servers that break these rules.
Accuracy of the data
Chorus shows what The Hive's API provides, as quickly as it can, but data can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. This can happen during outages, when The Hive changes something, or because some numbers are reconstructed (daily wins are counted from changes on the monthly leaderboard). Grinder levels, activity and combat skill are Chorus's own estimates, not official rankings from The Hive. Don't rely on Chorus for anything important, such as prizes or bets, without checking The Hive's own leaderboards.
The /privacy feature
/privacy hides your name and icon on today's daily leaderboards in Chorus, and your ongoing
monthly boards in /whois and /positions. It doesn't remove you from The Hive's own
leaderboards, from finished days, or from other services. To use it, the Xbox account for the gamertag must be
linked to your Discord account.
The Chorus Development server
In Chorus's own Discord server, Chorus also handles levels, moderation and server logs, as described in the Privacy Policy. The server's own rules apply there, and staff can moderate members through Chorus.
Names and trademarks
Chorus's name, code, icon and website belong to its developer. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang and Microsoft, The Hive belongs to its owners, and Discord is a trademark of Discord Inc. You're welcome to share the images Chorus makes.
Ending your use
You can stop using Chorus at any time by removing it from your apps or your server. We may stop providing Chorus to anyone who breaks these terms.
No warranty and liability
Chorus is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. To the extent the law permits, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by wrong or missing data, outages or the discontinuation of Chorus. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we'll update the date at the top and announce significant changes in the Chorus Development server. If you keep using Chorus after a change, you accept the new terms.
